Default depending on your exact location... here are some i am familiar with...

i bought my car from advantage jaguar/audi in redlands. due to their "smaller" inventory and the "small town" surrounding area, i got a great deal on my 99.5 and have experienced great customer service.

mckenna in orange county is larger, and yet still has good customer service. my friend bought from the vw section, and has had good results.

so i guess depending on your location, it might be worthwhile to check a few out. ive heard tips to stay away from los angeles if possible.

I too had a good experience at Miramar. They were the only dealership that was willing to deal with me. And, as Anand said, they are chip friendly.

Default I must admit some of their techs USED to be a little crazy with cars but now they are normal drivers

Default Miramar is excellent...

HIGHLY recommend Alex Sovran, you won't be disappointed. His number is 858-578-8600.

Default Re: good southern california dealer?

I had good experiences with the sales folks at Newport Auto Center (talk to Rob or Marty) and Circle (talk to Reiner); would have bought from Newport but no availability at the time, wound up being very satisfied with treatment at Circle. Disclaimer: it's been about a year since my purchase.

Service: haven't been back to Circle (too far from home), satisfied with Newport so far.

I did not appreciate the rude, arrogant salesjerks I encountered at McKenna; recommend you give your $ to people who appreciate your business instead.
99.5 A4 1.8TMS

Default Newport is nice and hassle free..

They offered a price for a 2001 order that three other dealers wouldn't come close to matching...

I talked to Rob, and i'm sure lots of ppl will refer you to him.

Default Was treated well by Beverly Hills Audi

Dean at the dealership was very helpful and they truly seem interested in good customer service. Got a good deal on the car and ordered exactly what I wanted, not what they had on the lot they wanted to sell.
Have not had the car serviced yet, but got past 300 miles today! Taking tomorrow off, so I'll bet I can do better this weekend. :-)
