Default good vacuum port on the 2.8

i am preforming a vacuum test due to high idle and wanted to know where is a good hose to plug my tester in?

Better off with VAG-COM that more traditional diagnostic tools.

Have you checked for codes?

yes there are no codes set...i am looking into a scanner that can check multiple cars just haven't found one for a decent price yet.

Sorry to nit pick, but does that mean you checked or that the CEL is not on yet? There can be plenty of codes even if the light is not on.

Once you get VAG-COM, also check the reading the ECU is seeing from the coolant temp sensor.

funny you say that because this happened right after i replaced the coolant temp sensor...i put the old one back in and it is still idling high and will stall...what must i do?
