Took delivery of our A4 Avant 1.8 came with a tire called a Goodyear "Touring". Looked like the GA with better snow traction.
Bad luck for us, all three A4's w/Sport at dealer had them.
AVS S1's went on Friday way better tire.
Sugggest anyone about to take delivery of a sport package car with the Goodyear take it for a drive first and then ask for the dealer to swap them out to something more appropriate to a sport suspension.

in trying to track down exactly what this tire is, I've looked around the goodyear product line. They make a "touring" version of many of their tires... but there isn't a model that I can find that is called just "touring". My dealer said if he can't find Pirellis or Dunlops to swap with, that he will buy the tourings from me at market value. I just need to find out what market value is ahead of time so that I don't get screwed.
Can you inspect the tire very closely to see if there are any other markings that might help to determine what kind of tire this is well enough to find it on tirerack or at the store for a price comparison? I'd really appreciate it.
--

I traded away the tires. My tire dealer is friend of mine and says these tires are not in any of his price lists or catalogs. I went through the tire rack Goodyear tires and could not find the same tread pattern. They are a cross between an LS and GA. Less smooth surface than the GA.
Good luck, we got $175.00 for our trades and AVS S1's for $91.00 each.
BTW ordered our car March 8 took delivery July 26.
01Avant 1.8 CW Sport 5-sp
