There was a deep pool of muddy water that cars were slowly forging. I started to forge, when a semi came barrelling around the turn, he didn't even slow down. He completely drenched my car.
The issue is my car is covered with little dark brown dots of, what i guess is, grime. They come off with a finger, or fingernail. I washed my car Monday with a boar hair brush, and i could not get the stuff off. It's not tar, that much im pretty sure of.
So my question is how do i attack this? Do i get a clay bar? I am thinking that clay bar will remove all contaminants, and this would be a contaminant. Then i would polish and wax. Luckily my car was recently 3M imperial hand glazed and then One Grand Blitz waxed.
Please dont tell me i have to spend days with a cotton cloth and my finger rubbing off little specks, that would take days, and be most annoying.
All advice is appreciated.
Cheers

Remove everything by claybarring the car once over. Wash the car with a citrus-based cleaner or detergent. If needed 3M IHG, if not, then wax. Smoke a cigar and view your masterpiece.
P.S. I recommend Midori or an Ashton blend.

If the specs are water soluble, then a water based solution that stays on the job for a few minutes may be all you need. Normally I dont recommend dishwashing detergent but if one of the normal car wash additives was used to no effect, then try the liguid dishwashing detergent. You want the car cool and in a shady place, wet then soap up. Let it sit until it starts to show dry spots. Soap up again, then rinse. To apply and "scrub" the body I like to use a small terry towel soaked in the soapy solution.
If washing doesnt remove the specs, then a claybar should.
The detergent can remove some wax, so it would be a good move to rewax after getting all the spots off.
