nice...I have a compaq Ipaq trying to do the same thing (more)
I just ordered the PDA holder from http://www.arkon.com/
Check it out, I got the multimedia package. I have a 1GB microdrive with tons of MP3s, but I would like to add GPS too. I'll post some pic so we can compare once I'm done.

I have an iPAQ as well...
...and have long thought about hooking it up to the stereo system. How easy would it be to hook a headphone out from that thing into the Bose stereo system, and are you doing something like that? I'm going to get a sub installed soon, would they be able to do an install like that as well?
The reason I want audio is not because I store MP3s on it but because I have 128k Ricochet service and I can listen to live streaming audio/video. It rules. If I do this, I will get the PDA holder from Arkon as well to keep it all in place.

Re: I have an iPAQ as well...
go with the multimedia holders. They have some sort of wireless connection to the radio. All you need is a FM station to being used. I haven't gotten it yet, but I'll let you know once I do.

I'm installing it like this...
It's a casiopeia e-125 with 1 Gig microdrive and delorme GPS antenna and software. Eventually it will clip into a custom cradle (matching interior) and will connect to:
The antenna for GPS
The audio inputs to the headunit for MP3 playback and GPS voice command
A wireless ethernet network card in the front of the vehicle to log onto the home network. Drag and drop files baby yay.

Man I have the M505...had a IIIxe and a Palm Professional before that...I went to Fry's the other
day and almost cried when I saw the Handspring Prizm (sp) on the demo table...it whips *** on the palm in terms of brightness...I mean sure it's only 8 bit color...but still, the TFT display and backlight were unreal :-( I'll be keeping my 505 though...as it's 1/2 as thick as the visor...and you don't HAVE to run the backlight...which you do with the Prizm.
Ohh and the Palm case design is about 1000 times nicer than Handspring...the mechanicals of the Handspring leave something to be desired in terms of quality...cheap plastic doesn't fly on a $450 PDA IMHO.
