I just got my GReddy G2 exhaust installed this morning at their offices in Irvine, CA and I am _happy_! They have systems available for 98+ A4s (both 1.8T and 2.8 in quattro and FWD).
The exhaust tip is dual pipe into a single oval tip with a slight down-turn (http://www.greddy.com/products/images/big_g2.gif).
It sounds fabulous. Nothing ricey about this exhaust at all, it's simply a nice bass note. Very mild at idle and cruise speeds, sporty growl under acceleration. Tests within California smog/sound limits so it's street legal!
Specs from the prototyping session for my A4 1.8T Frontrak was +14hp. I didn't have time to have it re-dyno'd with the production unit installed, but I'll probably have that done shortly and post some specs for both APR EMCS Stock Mode and Performance/1-bar mode.

I think the APR chip puts it over the top for 2 wheel drive - it's too much power to effectively get to the ground for quick launches. Other than that, though, I have no complaints. At stock it's quite well behaved as an FWD.
It was cost/benefit issue. Living in SoCal and spending 98% of the time on dry, urban roads made quattro not quite the thing for me at the time (immediate gratification - get me my A4, now!!)![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
