What is the best way to paint the trim of the RS4 grill? Also, does anyone have any pictures or advice on the caractere bodykit for the A4?
Thanks

sandpaper or "00" or "000" steel wool. (A little scuffing is all that's needed.) 2) paint piece with zinc chromate primer, available from any auto paint supply store 3) paint trim with standard primer 4) paint with multiple coats, I suggest at least 3, of whatever color you choose. I like it black, very low gloss (but NOT flat) to match the plastic interior. 5) This is optional, but you can use a couple coats of clearcoat if you choose. I don't like this look because again, it makes a glossy finish. Remember, clear coat is nothing but standard paint with no pigment, so you're not losing anything but just painting it as long as you are willing to repaint it someday if it gets chipped. This entire method is essentially what anyone restoring an auto would use to paint aluminum alloy parts, but it will work with any metal alloy. It is important to use the zinc chromate primer to provide a bonding surface on any alloy.
