Grrrr....more on the oil leak.

Grrrr....more on the oil leak.
So I brought my car back to the shop for this leak. The first thing they asked me is if I replaced the cap seal (looks like a big round plug), while doing the cam adjuster seals. Well I didn't, so they think that may be the cause of the leak, which I did the work, so no warranty.
My question is. The leak is on the passenger side of the engine and the leak definitely looks like it's coming from the front (dripping right near the oil dipstick). Aren't those cap seals at the back of the engine? I'm just trying to make sure I have my bases covered, so I can hopefully get a warranty.
