Default Old saying is Pay now or Pay later. I dont think exh,. mani is anyplace to cheap IMO

I cant imagine a 300$ mani, Basseds Spa will also have some heat problems but 034 log is minimum to me. I prefer the DB cast header, but it makes even the Full Race header look cheap.

Exhaust has to get out or things melt and the faster it gets out the better. Spend as much as you can on mani and Swain coat it, along w/turbo housing and downpipe. This will make even a cheap mani better, but you can still have issues if you run hard on a track. I put in Inconel exhaust valves and heat treatment to pistons.
I do all this because I have 2 melted pistons I keep on my desk to remind me how much cheap costs.

Default Is that $300 with or without all the bolts that need to be replaced

after they fall off? :P

Lets also not forget the fact that the ATP manifold is a PITA to deal with and have you seen where it puts a GT3071R? Talk about no room for a TIP.

Default Ok...this one I'm gonna disagree with you on Mike, my setup has been fine-->

3 yrs running, no missing bolts and I had no problem with a TIP. I must be one of the lucky ones. ; )

Default Never had the bolt problems with my ATP.

I do agree about the TIP part though, it was a real pain in the *** to set up, since my turbo is longer than a garrett.

Default You used a cobra tube right?

Most people dont want to use that and try to use a 4" 90 deg bend which wont fit in that spot and end up using a 4" to 3" 90 deg.

Default You must be lucky on the bolt parts.

The bad thing is that not all the Garretts sit in the same place, I foudn this out when trying to find a replacement turbo for my S2 when it cracked, the GT35r housing actually sat further back then the GT30's and this was because the center section was slightly smaller.

Default No cobra, used a 4" to 3" with no issues!! : )

next up, I have to use a 4" to 4" 90 deg, but I may re-engineer my inlet setup a little differently.
