Guy at work got a WRX, would I win in a race?

Asumming this is from a stop like most setup impromptu races. From 0-where ever the stock WRX WILL beat his/your car considering drivers being equal. Yes, in this situation the driver matters.
A 2nd gear pulll between the two cars will result in a convaluted outcome. Both car are geared very different and have different power bands. For instance my wife 2000 1.8T avant stock would pull on my 300+hp SHO in 2nd gear from 10mph till redline (little below 60). I normally shift my SHO from 1st to 2nd at 55mph. 2nd gear would be gutless in the SHO till I hit 4200rpms (about 44mph). Does this mean my wife 150hp Avant that runs mid 16's in the 1/4 mile is faster than my 13 second SHO? No! It's apples and oranges.
It's only prudent to do specific gear pulls on the same type of cars to compare what mods have the most benefit.
I have seen a stock WRX wagon run a 14.5 in the 1/4mile. And others run 14.6-7. What will your car run low 15's on pump gas? high 14's on race gas? Come on the WRX is faster.
You still have a nice car, so be happy that it has more panache than a WRX.

Yeah i'm happy with mine...but...
...what changes from a launch? If both drivers are equal...and they both pull 2.0 60ft times...and they are both even off the line...and then both race to 100mph like in my examples...i'm not seeing a different outcome here.
Oh and my car runs high 14's on pump gas..and thats at 6000 feet :P
