Default do you know what the max oil pressure we see on a 1.8 is??

I just got a 80 psi vdo gauge and I'm thinking I should get a 100psi unit.

Default You want one that goes to 100psi

I had one on my car and it hit 100psi pretty easy.

Yea the turbo oil supply pipe has it's origins on that distribution block as well.

Default Interesting. For the G60 engine, the feed line came from the head, and it returned into the block...

So similar, yet completely different. I got my first look at a 1.8t up close last weekend (VTStage3 A4's car) and was amazed at how different it looked from what I was used to. I also learned why everyone bitches at the oil filter placement!!!

Oh, and the stage 3 did manage to put a grin on my face too...

Default It's a fun set up :)

Installing one (Stage III) isn't too bad but plumbing in the new oil supply line definitly would not put a grin on your face.

I would suggest that PhilThrottle use that supply port to T out for his pressure gauge. That way he would retain the OEM pressure sender and avoid having to deal with the idiot light and/or the OEM low pressure warning 'horn'. I don't envy him the task tho.

I read about VTStage3 getting help from you . .and your subsequent test drive. Too bad you didn't get a chance to dump him aside the road for a few hours

Default No need to dump him off, we were looking to see if it would hold 20psi ....

without dropping off (which he said it did before..) and it held 20 psi till I let up. 20 PSI makes those cars go pretty well! What is 'normal' boost for Stage 3 with a FMIC?
