H&R Springs. Sport or Race?

I am starting with the 96 monster truck suspension. I don't do any racing but drive like a maniac. Is the ride quality the same? Are the racing springs just lower? I am going with the Bilstein Sport shocks if that helps.

not to start a spring war =) BUT I don't trust them yet. New system not enough miles
mind you they are only a spring... But there is little in terms of feedback about them. Jussnb has only 8000 miles on his. I remember when my sport suspension had 8000 miles on it, it was still awesome. Now at 35k it is starting to get a little tired.
YES teh Intrax/konis are used in racing, but in Racing you swap components after every race. That is a bit too expensive for my tastes.
H&R/Bilstein or Eibach/Bilstein are proven combinations with a high positive life.
my 2 cents take it or leave it.

My two Cents (H&R sports w/Neuspeedbilsteins) kinda long.......
I have this setup up on my 97'. My car started out just like yours (WAY UP THERE ) It is my daily driver, so i didn't want a kidney buster. I tried a couple of different spring/shock combos with friends car, and felt that this setup up offered the best combo of ride/look/adjustability/price. To answer your specific question yes it does ride harder, but then again, that is the point. The race springs are even harder. For comparsion, I have driven an E36 M3 quite a bit. I would say that on crappy roads, the M3 wins, flyin' down the hiway, I like my setup better.
I like the Neuspeed version of the bilsteins specifically because of the height adjustable perches. While you have to take them off the car to adjust them, you can set them up where you want as far as ride height. I set mine on the middle setting (see JCJiffy's excellent pics).
The car now looks "normal" not slamed, with my 17's nicely filling out the wheel wells.
I have been trying to finish up the FAQ i wrote about this setup, along with the install FAQ. BTW, the FAQ currently in the Tech section by Eric, is for a newer Avant.
Good luck!

I'm very very happy with my H&R Sport...
Not to harsh, noticable improvement in body roll reduction...
What is Real has the race springs... I haven't ridden in his car yet, so I can't compare the two
