had to dismantle mirror to put harness in. Not too bad...

It's funny, I looked for a nice non-gimp for about 3 years -- definately wanted to do it....
Then a friend of mine with a black '99 said he really liked the gimp and wanted to swap. For some reason, I can't pull the trigger.
I seem to have grown more fond of ole NEMO over the years, I guess.

When I first heard someone call it NEMO I LOL'd for long while. So fitting...
My wife can't stop thinking of side mirrors as fish fins now after hearing it too.
So just got to work and asked my boss and two other engineer types if they could notice. They could only could notice when I held the gimp up next to the new mirror as it does lack that "blueish" tint and is more of a darker or "purpleish-brown" tint to it.
They said no one on earth will know but you. I said prolly the guys from here would notice too :P

Those marks that I thought were scratches into the paint...
they were just tar or something as my coworker just scratched them off with his fingernail. Schweeet!

yeah, he was the guy I first heard it from. He had me rolling with one after another on it
In that same NEMO dialog with B5Davem I remember posting a pic of an old 911 without the passenger mirror saying maybe no mirror and he game me this:
NEMO = Nine Eleven Mirror Option.
He seems like a funny guy in a very good way. BTW, I grew up in Fairview, Avon Lake & Amherst, Ohio...

next time I'm back visiting I'll look you guys up if you are around...
Here is some of the fun from last night... Had the new mirror wired and all back together and then the wires didn't match on my old connector so just testing before I soldered & shrink wrapped the wires:
