Well this posting though emotional does not reflect or address how the car was maintained or driven. Something we will not really be able to judge here on the internet. Good luck with MB. I have driven them and found they are great boulevard cruisers but lack real handling and road feedback. I've owned a couple of BMWs [73' 2002tii and a 325] and have driven several of the new ones - and they are probably the best handling cars right off the showroom floor but lack the interior and quattro that make Audis great daily drivers. Good luck with your future choice.

Sorry, had to add one last thing. A woman at our office drives an '03 MB C230 Kompressor. The last couple of days I see her in a new Benz, so today I remarked that she had a new car; she said "I wish" and told me it is a dealer-loaner. Her '03 is having the cylinder head replaced.

Mid 90's to early 2000's Mercedes are horrid, cheap junk. Only recently have they cleaned up their act and stopped that nonsense.

BreakMyWallet's are a sideways move from Audi, if you're lucky. I don't think they are any more or less reliable.

FWIW, my A4 has been very reliable, economical and fun.
Even after a decade, it still looks great.

Sure, stuff wears out but it's all relatively cheap. That reminds me I have to get that seat cushion tear fixed...

It's all personal experience. Luckily, my experience with Audi has me considering another for the wife. She hates Japanese cars (boring and cheap feel).

I wouldn't mind a Lexus but she's only really liking the Audis.

Who knows, if I had a horrible experience, maybe I would swear off Audi. But, I have a good opinion of them.

yea like i said before, i love how the car handles, and the quattro, but i think i might have just bought a lemon. Again, my parents both swear by benz, n i've had a great experience owning one in the past.
