Had a run in with a new Camaro today...(long)
I was heading home from my uncle's house when approaching a light on a short kinda curvy highway (Route 20). A 2000+ Camaro pulled next to me and the guy gave me a look. The light turned green and we both floored it. He had about 1-1.5 car lengths on me until we approached a slight bend on Route 20. That's when Quattro dominated and left the Camaro on my rear view mirror. Another light approaching and it just turned red. He pulled on the far left and me on the far right (3 lanes). And we take off again. This time he let off the gas after a few seconds after seeing another slight bend on the road. Just a little story that I thought I should share.
BTW: I took on an Infinity J30 (my mom has a the same exact car) the other day on the same portion of Route 20 making the same trip home. The J30 had a 2-3 car lead and I overtook it after those 2 slight bends. Quattro really kicks ***.

It is your suspension and tires that help you corner,
quattro for the most part only helps putting the
power down coming out of a corner.
The camaro either has sopply suspension,
no high performance tires or the driver just
wasn't comfortable going through corners.
Basically quattro only helps if you have
250+ hp in the dry, or 200+hp in the wet.

The bends were sharp enough that if I had Frontrack (which i had on my previous Audi)...
I would have lost total control of the car. Quattro doesn't help you corner, but when taking a curve @ WOT, it will keep you planted on the ground. Know this from past experience on my FWD Audi.

At the cornering limit on public streets?
At that point the other drivers were letting up because you're clearly not all there, even quattro can be spun.
Sorry to sound like Dad, but I've lost friends like this: Race, friend takes corner @limit, pavement change oversteers car, large immovable object puts friend in ground.
