Has any tuner ever offered a "Mileage Chip" as a program option (along with tuned/race... etc)?

I just wonder if Audi tuned for optimal mileage... in stock form... or if there's room for improvement?
I know I can get good miles by staying off boost.
And don't get me wrong... I enjoy performance more than anything.
Some people I know ask (in a real snotty voice that I'm sure you've heard) "Why do you need a tur-bo?" And that's one thing I LOVE about a turbo car... power when you want it... economy when you don't (another reason why I'm a bit disappointed in the V8 S4 idea).
Alright, that's enough of this... I asked my question... and I look forward to the responses.
Thanks,
Dave.

how not to put his foot in it. My race chips were getting 30+ mpg so I really dont see the point of making a "mileage chip". You do understand that a tuned chip is just that, tuned to run a better air/fuel mixture and not just a chip with more boost.

are you talking about what the trip comp is telling you or actually measuring? My best mileage to date is an all highway trip I took last week that used about a whole tank of gas. Granted i pushed it a few times on the road, I got about 400 miles out of the tank. I think the tankis about 16 agllons right? So that = 25 mpg. That really isn't too good.

That's with the MTM or the APR...however, I hate using the cruise control, so on the same stretches, I usually get 27 mpg.

My commute is a hilly 40 mile stretch of a two-lane state route and I usually do about 60 mph. I used to have to downshift to fourth to make it up the hills or third if I wanted to accelerate uphill. Now, I can keep it in fifth and make it up the hills. I used to use a quarter of a tank per day for the round trip. Now the fuel gauge needle drops significantly less than 1/4 by the end of the day.

This is without using all the fuel in the tank. If you get the fuel warning light you have 2 gallons left. So if you took your 400 and got the light you used 14 gallons, but that is only if you really got a full 16 gallons into the tank. If that was the case you would got 28 mpg. Now mine I might have used 15 gallons to get the 450 and that is 30 mpg. I have done drives down to the track and back with 4 hrs of starting the car up over and over, moving the car and drag racing and was still getting 21 mpg.
