Has anyone had a probelm with water leaking behinde the driver seat? had it checked out still leaks
my 96 a4 has a bad leak behinde the driver seat and collectes bout an inch of water each time it rains. no water gets on seats.. i had the sealing checked and everything seemed fine. anyone elese have this problem?

You have a missing/bad grommet in the firewall, probably where the ECU wires are. If you
installed an aftermarket stereo, chances are the wires that run to thru the firewall to the battery are not sealed properly. Try using plummers putty.
I had the same problem...took the dealer a long time to figure it out as the water always apeared in the rear footwell. Basically, when you get on the gas, the water is pushed back into the rear of the car.

most often this is the gromet around the hood release cable...
it's just outboard of the ecu box. lots of people rout power for aftermarket stereo through here. the water collects behind the drivers seat because it's the lowest point of the floor pan.
