i used to work for them...more
don't let them see this but...
one of the worst jobs i've had, and best i guess
just worst because i was constantly bored but anyway.I havn't heard the exhaust on a b5, i was hoping if i worked there long enough they would give me one. but they didn't.
i've sold a few...but i wasinstructed to lie to them(customer) and tell them i have heard and saw good things about.(selling 101)
i had to quit when my grandfather had a stroke, and i had to move to wisconsin to take care of him. they acted like i shot them in the face.
when really i didn't have a choice about, i had to go. my grandfather passed several weeks later. i moved back to chicago and gave em a call and said, i had saved enough money i could afford one of their rediculously expensive mufflers(note muffler, not exhaust system)
he told me they would call me back on mon(it was a sat) to see what kind of pricing they could give me. come mon...no call, by thurs after still not hearing from them, i called back and was told boss was at lunch and they call me back...havn't talked to them since.
The exhaust seem very very well built, and very well packaged(thats what i did, amongst a bunch of other things) maybe a little too well packed, anyway. I've heard their systems on many different m3's, m5's, b6 S4, all sound real nice.
very throaty sporty sound. I would go for the race version, as its not as loud as one would think. for more lowkey go for the 'middle' one, i forget what they call it.
I guess i shouldn't be bitter about working there, since i got a real nice radar detector from japan(solar pwr'd, integrated wide rear view mirror that mounts over stock mirror and gets pwr from small solar panal. pretty cool)
and i got a kelleners sport titanium shift ****.
Overall, i would say skip and go for a milltek exhaust with downpipe, thats what i ended up getting on my 98 1.8tqm. and i love it.
more questions? i'll be here allnight folks
