has anyone installed a ignition switch?
i noticed when i did a search it was a common problem but i didn't see anywhere where someone has done a write up on one.

I've done it.....
I replaced mine, and a month later, Audi recalled it.
Follow the Bentley manual, and you'll be OK.
Basically, you pull the steering wheel off, pull the shroud off the steering column (I think the instrument cluster has to come out first) then unscrew the old switch, and put the new one in. I'm probably missing something though.
