Default Has anyone out there done the Phillips HID kit AND switched to Euro HID housings?

I already have the Phillips kit, and when I called PGPerformance today, the lady on the phone told me that it wouldn't work with the Euro HID housings because there was going to be a big huge hole in the back of the housing. I thought it had already been done here. Can anyone comment on this, please? My factory projectors are looking a little haggard and I'd like to upgrade, but now I'm confused. Thanks in advance.

Default OOH! OOH! I did! :)..

I did exactly that. You have to make the same modifications to the back of the Euro Halogens that you do the the stock US housings, to make room for the wire going to the ballast. Other than that, you're golden! Here's a link to my write up, and some pics...

Default People (like Ron_C) have been doing Phillips HID and Euro *Halogen* housings

I guess it's the stock Halogen housings that the kit is designed for.

Default If i remeber correctly..

Ron C did this. Or he was waiting to get the Euro Housings. I dont think that you should have a problem getting the HID housings and putting in the Phillips lights. Because you can put the Phillips kit in OEM HID housings.. i dont see why there would be a problem with the HID Euro's.

Keep it real,

Just to clarify, then: You have non-HID housings? Euro projectors, in other words? Thanks!

Default Both the Xenon and Halogen housings are 'projector' housings..

I had Halogen housings stock, and upgraded to halogen Euro Housings with the xenonshop xenon upgrade.

Default I think the HID housing has a beam corrector inside which the projector does not.

If you like the HID housing with the Xenonshop. You need to find out if Xenonshop can give you the bulb without the H7 adaptor. I think the Xenon bulb is DS2?

Default Did you notice any change in the light distribution pattern between the Euros and

your factory housings? I think the only way I can justify the $$$ is if the beam is better focused. I'm a little unhappy with the current focusing of the light. The light seems too scattered for some reason to me. Thanks, and sorry for all of the questions.

Default the light output is definately better with the euros, but

then, I didn't have any complaints with the U.S. housings. I sawa a big improvement with the euros, though....and they look sweet, too!
