Has anyone replaced the front speakers on their non-Bose system? The factory's sounds horrible......

and I definitely want to replace them.

I know...I've already messed with the hidden EQ...I think that I've blown one that's why I want.....

to replace them.

Lotsa people have ditched 'em. I replaced factory speakers w/

Diamond Audio Hex 4" in the factory doors, D.A. Hex silk dome tweets in the factory locations, and then made fiberglass pods to house D.A. Hex 5.25" in the footwells. Sounds a little better than "symphony" now

. This was, of course, in addition to ripping out the rest of the stereo. I don't want to give you the impression that this is all it took for better sound.
