Has anyone successfully used these speakers in the parcel shelf of an otherwise stock Bose system?

I used a Blaupunkt overdrive component system using just the woofers and crossovers. The system has worked flawlessly. For the last month or so that I have had them in. Crutchfield is the one who said that it would not be an issue to rum 4ohm in place of a 2ohm speaker, but the other way arround would be a problem.

First, thanks for your response.
1. Are you able to use the stock amp for the rear speakers?
2. Have you noticed a difference in volume?
3. How is the sound quality compared to stock?
4. How much did it cost you?
5. Would it be easy for me, not knowing much about car audio, to do the same thing to my car.
Thanks again!

1. Yes
2. No, but a distinct difference in Bass
3. I think far better, it is not as muffled.
4. Clearance speakers $80 normally $270
5. Removing the rear deck was the hardest part. you have to remove the back seat (*** part), then the side bolsters left and right. then the little anchors on the rear deck, (they were a pain to get those little plastic covers off to get to the mounting bolts) The speaker are mounted to a plastic retaining ring that is held in place with 2 screws.
If I were to do it again... woofers without crosovers would have been fine. I have the tweeters still sitting here, and no I don't plan on using them. For the $80 I paid hell , yeah I would do this again. Cheaper than the $800 in speakers I had in my old school (1983) Jetta.
