Default Yup...very cost effective upgrade, IMO.

Put them to the test for the first time this weekend at an auto-x....no fade at all. If you don't have $1000-2000 to spend on upgrading the calipers or even to the Stoptech/APR kit, this is your set-up. Good luck..

Default I am thinking of this mod too - questions...

Did you do the rears too? Stainless steel lines? I need brakes and I am gonna go this route too. What did it end up costing?

I am thinking of slotted rotors though, I am not sure where to get them yet.

How much better is it with the Boxster calipers? (both feel and performance)

Default More info...

I did not do the rears, because an actual UPGRADE to bigger rotor/caliper is not worth the money (rears do 10-15% of braking). I could've swapped the rear rotors for slotted or x-drilled...but again, you won't notice any difference. I don't have stainless lines either.

Cost breaks down like this (from Clairparts):
2 TT caliper brackets--~$140 each
2 A8 rotors--~$110 each

That's $500 right there...I would suggest new pads, which could run anywhere from $50-70 (depending on what brand)...and also since shipping on the rotors is fairly significant ($40), I'll add that in. Front brake A8 upgrade GRAND TOTAL--~$600. Let me know if you have any more questions..good luck.

Does it require new brake lines, or are the originals long enough?

Default Calipers stay the same, thus no new lines needed....

...the TT caliper brackets just move them out a few millimeters, brake line length is not an issue. Good luck..
