I'd say it could take a 12v. If you go up against a 6 speed, forget it. The only chance I'd say would be a 5 speed, 12v FWD against the auto SLK.

the SLK has auto.. if that helps.. and my 2.8 is quattro 5spd.. (i can launch) so will it be a close race? what is the weight of quattro 12v anyways?? tia

My GF's SLK230K is quite a bit faster than my car on the highway...
From 55-100, she gains at least 2-3 car lengths on me. There is no "driver skill" issue here, since both of us are driving slushboxes...
