I am doing a rebuild on the A4 1.8T.
It has a new headbolt style on it (with 6 points
corners). I would like to know if I can reuse
the headbolt and also the piston journal bolts
that is bolted to the crankshaft...not the
crankshaft journal bolts. I left the crankshaft
intack...its in excellent condition.
Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by piston journal bolts? Are you talking about rod bolts?
I have ARP rod bolts in mine, and for now, I reused the stock headbolts while I'm waiting for the head studs to get here. I figured if I was going to spend the money on new bolts, it might as well go towards studs...
Check out <a href="http://www.raceware-fasteners.com/">http://www.raceware-fasteners.com/</a> for details.
I would highly suggest having the rotating assembly balanced. At the very least, do the rods, my VW 2.0 rods were off by as much as 4 grams.
