The headlamp glass in my '98.5 A4 2.8 QMS is becoming yellowed and foggy on the inside. Keep in mind that this is the "lensed" glass, (old school) not the clear glass that appeared from '99 onward.
Can I get to the inside of the lamp and somehow clean the glass to a point where it's clear again and non-yellowed? Or is this glass beyond help?
Time for an upgrade to HIDs?
For what it's worth, I did put Sylvania Silver Star bulbs in both the main beam and integrated fogs about 2 years ago.

Not sure if the plastic can be saved though, so you might just have to upgrade. Worth a shot at least.
