Default Headlight question

What is the difference between the headlights on a 2000 S4 and the Euro-housings you can get of websites? I want to upgrade my 98 lights and was wondering if these were the same and if they would both fit(i know i have to do the trimming)

Default don't get the xenon spec housings...

the S4 housings will throw off your beam pattern since you don't have factory xenons. The difference between the S4 housings and the Euro ones is that the Euro's have clear corners, a "robot eye", and city lights. Also, they have a different beam pattern. People with factory xenons stay with xenon housings and people w/o factory xenons get the projector housings. Even if you have an aftermarket xenon kit, stay with the normal euro housings.

Default don't bother with them....

by the time that auction ends, they'll sell for close to or just above $200.

A4 Euro projectors are $309 + shipping and are much better projectors. Just go with those. It's worth it.

Default it works.... get them if you want it.... there is nothing wrong with using halogen bulbs with the..

stock xenon housings Omidius has them on his car... ask him about it if you want.. he swears by them... and he owns a 97 A4.... pre 1 pc headlights.. i actually just did the e-codes... and i actually like them a lot.. it does magnify the halogen... and you get a cool rainbowish emination when the lights are turned on and lighting up an object =)

Default for all I know...

stock halogen light bulbs don't work in the xenon housings. This is what has been reported here many times, so you (SpyderSE2) might want to check with Omidius about that.
