Default Headlight removal

I own a 1996 Audi A4 2.8L V6 12V
I looked at this article:
https://www.audiworld.com/tech/ext5.shtml
And I cannot find the third Torx screw. To me it seems that it is not there and that the headlight being is being held in by a 3rd screw located on the bottom left (looking straight on) by the radiator.
How do I remove it?

Default you have to remove the sidemarkers on your car first

there should be a spring clip that is holding it in place. Once you pull out the sidemarker and you will see a bolt that is holding the headlight in place.

Default Re: you have to remove the sidemarkers on your car first

thank you for the reply, but there isn't enough clearance to unscrew it. The reason I am doing this is because one of my headlights is way out of wack. It is pointed very high. I tried adjusting it using the hex screws, but that moves the whole lamp.
Any ideas?

Default and to remove sidmarkers its a two step thing

first starting from the seam where the main headlight housing and the sidemarker meet... look straight down from the top. Now look a little more toward the sidemarker side. You will see a white tab. This tab needs to be pushed out. That will allow you to push the other white tab down. Once you see it... it's common sense good luck

Default He has the two piece

Is a lever up by the ecu box and windshield wipers. You pull that tab (i think its yellow) and the sidemarker should pop out!

Good luck

Default Re: He has the two piece

I got the corner lights out. There isn't enough clearance for me to unscrew the 3rd torx screw. I will do it later when I have more time. The headlight is really screwed up. I tried aiming it like the article and it really didn't help. Something is amiss inside the headlight the pattern doesn't look at all like the right one.

Default Just stick an allen key in the third torx screw...

i've done it countless time and it works fine. Once you break it loose you can just unscrew it by hand.
