headlight washer cover dissapeared!
I just noticed that one of the headlight washer cover dissapeared! Did it just fall off? I suppose I'll have to go pick one up from the parts dept; hope it's not too pricey. Anyone know how to put one back on without damaging the nozzle itself?

I've heard of this happening if you use your headlight washers at very high speeds.
The wind at high speed enables the cap to gain a lot of lift and it heads for the stars. Check with parts dismantlers first, they may have one in your color already.

Speaking of which, this weekend I put a separate on/off switch to this
Now I don't waste gallons upon gallons of windshield fluid at night. Yes, I know people say use it for only a second and they won't come on, well not on the 96 and 97's, anyways it great!!
I put the switch next to the hood latch, out of sight but definately easy to reach when I want to wash my lights.........now I audi needs to make some of these washers for the rear lights.

This happened to me. Potential good news inside...
I lost one of my covers at speed and went straight to the dealership. They acknowledged that this does happen occasionally and said it was covered under warranty. They ordered the part and had it painted, then called me when it was done and popped it in when I stopped by the dealership.
PS This is the happy ending synopsis. I won't go into how they misplaced the first one they ordered, then painted the second one the wrong color. Hopefully, that won't happen to you. Anyway, they took care of me and it didn't cost me a cent.
Good luck

Care to share your mod details. FAQ maybe?...
... I was thinking of making it that I have to have the fogs on in order for the headlight washers to work. If it is easy to do, I'll do it. Right now, I'm getting by with the short pulses on the washer to avoid the headlights.
