Default Headlight Washer Stuck Partially Up (continued)
The left headlight washer is sticking up about 1/2" above the bumper of my 99.5 2.8 Quattro.

I tried the folloing suggestions:

- tapping lightly on the top and to the side.
- repeatedly activating the headlight washers.

Neither of these worked. Should I take it to a dealer or good mechanic? I am sure they will charge a fortune. Any suggestions?

Default Cost me $300 to replace the headlight washer assembly + pump once at the dealer
Labor included.

Is it possibly frozen in that position? (depending on where you live of course...)

Default Push it back down. If there is resistance pull it up WD40 it and push and pull till it goes all the
way down

mine catches on the bumper, try moving it so its free....

Default No it is not frozen.
The temperatures have been in the 40s and 50s for days.

Mine did that about 2 months ago... i just pushed it down... and it's fine now

If you're not afraid of taking off your bumper yourself, you can get a real good look at the problem
