Default Headlight washers.
Was the headlamp washers an option in the 98.5 2.8 model? I thought so, because I dont have the button to turn them on on my wipper lever. Then I noticed that I have all the hardware there behind the bumper. Are they supposed to Automaticly turn on when the windshield wippers at turned on, or is somthing broken?

Default Read your manual...
They turn on when you use the washer and wipers when your headlights are on. I think the only thing that is broken is your head. Chow.

Default Yup, just make sure you hold the stalk a little while.....and don't be goin like 90 or one of your
washer covers might magically disappear.

i bought my 98.5 used a year ago and the headlight washers have never worked on it.
