Default Headlight Washers

So I filled my Washer fluid up on friday. Used and entire gallon. and the light came on yesterday morning stating that It was low again. So I did some research. (friend pulled the washer lever while I stood in front and watched) Is there any reason why my headlight washers Vomit masive quantities of washer fluid onto my headlights?
Can I somehow restrict the flow?
If not can I turn the damned sensor off?

I really apperciate it. I hate the damn light and would rather not spend $3 a week on Washer fluid, It just seems excessive.

Do the headlight washers pop up when the lights are off?

Default I just thought

he might have an issue with the headlight washers working all the time, not just when the lights are on, therefore using way too much fluid. Probably just a leak of the tank or lines, though.

Default They just work when the lights are on, but . . .

They are outputting something like 8oz. of fluid each every half second. Its hideosly cool, but I dont like having to refill every 3 days.
