Hey all,
I'm bidding on a pair of mirrors on e-bay and had a question before i buy. the mirrors that are for bid are heated whereas on my car the mirrors are not. Would it be compatable with my car and how would the heated option work? Is there a separate button to switch them on or are they automatic depending on the temp. outside>

The heated mirrors on my '96 are activated by the rear defogger switch.
I don't know if a car that came without the cold weather package would have the wiring and is just lacking the heated mirror element. I would think you need to add the wiring yourself...

Yeah, it's a 97. As far as the winter package, i only have the heated seats. For the wiring, what would be required? Just the wiring to the rear defrost button?

Maybe you are lucky and you already got wiring in the mirror housing? Take the mirror glass out and take a look. Use a thin plastic wedge to pry off the glass. Then look if there are any extra wires.
You should find a wiring diagram for your car. Then you can see what you need.
