Default heavy exhaust smoke

This has been happening for about a month now. I start my car and there's a lot of smoke coming from my exhaust. After about 30 seconds to 1 min, the smoke is gone. This only happens when I start my car after it's been sitting for a few hours. I've noticed that this doesn't always happen, but it does most of the time. There is no smoke while I'm driving. Anyone know what could be causing this?

I guess it's whitish/grey. Don't know how else to explain it.

Default Could be valve guides, or the turbo...

somethign is dripping a little oil into the combustion chamber, then it burns off when you run the car..

check the oil and coolant levels, make sure that everythign's fine..

Default it could be just that it's running REALLY rich on cold start...

and you are burning off extra gas.. OR, you could have a leaky injector, which is driping gas into the cylinder..

Default could still be seals. It only takes a small amount of oil for a few good puffs. How much oil do

you use between oil changes?

Default Never said it wasn't.. He needs to get a better description of the smoke..

thick black smoke would be gas, grey would be oil, white is water.

It's definately not black, so I can rule the gas out.
It's a greyish/white. When you say white, how white would it be?
