Default Heavy Hitters I need your help

My car has NOT run very much for the last 7 months and has not run at all for at least 3 months. When I went to start it the battery was dead so I bought a new one. Now I could start it but it would idle roughly and when you put the throttle down it would hesitate then build and then stall. Figuring it was bad gas, I drained the tank, replaced the fuel filter and while I was at it, I replaced the plugs. Now I have new gas, new fuel filter and plugs and I still have a problem. I can build RPM just fine but when the RPM comes back down below 2000 it almost stalls out. It wont sustain RPM between 1000 and 28000 but it responds just fine at 3000 RPM + as long as you dont let it go below 3000 RPM. If you do the throttle lags horribly and it still idles kind of rough. The boost seems to build fine. I already tried swaping a different DV in there just to trouble shoot. I can't see any visible broken lines anywhere. I DO have a stead CEL.

Default Re: intake leak

Actually when I hit the gas it does make a sound like a pump and the sound is comming from the intake, but I can tell if that sound has always been there. Where would it be leaking from?

Yea I let it sit there for about 30 seconds before turning it over. Is there a way to make sure that the TB adaption is taking place?

Default check your tip

sounds like what happened to my car, well i found it quick though.
One of my hoses popped off, the one the DV plugs into. Run a pressure test, but a leak that big will be noticeable.

good luck

Default i would first check the hose from the turbo to the cross member

then the hose from the cross member to the intercooler, then the hose from the intercooler to the TB. Then the hose from the airbox to the turbo.. aka turbo inlet pipe.

Yes, get a Vag-Com and do a real TBA.

Default Take the advice of others and borrow someone VAG-COM

It could be many things, from a simple vacuum leak
to a faulty throttle body control unit or even a
faulty coil pack. VAGing your car first will saved
you lots of unnecessary work and frustration.
