Default quick and dirty

heel-toe is the act of braking while hitting the accelerator. You do this when you downshift and is primarily used in racing although many people adopt it for the street. I do it all the time now.

For details search, it's an old topic with lots of posts

Default I gotta ask you, how are you orienting your feet to hit the throttle

I've tried and the only way I can manage it is to place my heel and on the brake pedal and nudge the top of the accelerator arm with my toe.

Is this what you are doing?

If the Accelerator and Brake Pedal were the same height it would be a lot easier.

Default Most use Ball edge on the A4

Similar to heal toe but you keep your foot in the normal position on the brakes and roll over onto the gas with the small toe edge of your foot.

Thanks, the lip on the Sparco Pedals would probably help with that technique

Default does that work in DBW? i thought in DBW, stepping on break

doesn't let car accelerate (or cuts off the juice)

Default if you slam on the brake and the accellerator at the the same time..

yeah it doesnt appreciate that (although ive never done it, but thats just common sense). i have no problem heel/toe shifting with DBW. it does take a little getting used to because the throttle response is slightly delayed vs nDBW IMHO.

Default if there is load then it shuts off throttle when actually trying to heel-toe

the clutch is in to shift, so no load = no problem. YOu just can't left foot brake on dbw
