DO NOT GO TO HBL PERIOD! THEY SUCK SO BAD. plus, you don't get a real loaner, you get some ford escort from enterprise b/c they give you an an enterprise rent-a-car. i've tried to HBL 5 times just to get service and they could only accommodate me once. i had appointments 3 out of those 5 times). ask me anything else, i'll gladly give you my opinion on HBL.

Default Bad Service at HBL!!!

HBL's Service Department is the worst. They have one service rep. that handles all the Audis and for some reason are always booked up. I took my '91 Audi Coupe quattro there for a few reasons and they pretty much screwed up something every time. I had my window regulator replaced....window had a big gap....took it back....they fixed the gap by realining the door and not the window regulator...so the door was misaligned when closed....what they did to realign the door was to drop the door striker a little bit....what a bunch of dumbasses....I told them to fix the alignment of the door....they couldn't loosen the bolts to the striker because the peckerhead who did the work before tightened the bolts too much and the heads got striped...they drilled the bolts out and realigned my door...gap in window is back. These guys are a bunch of morons. I took off the door panel and realigned my window the right way in like 20 minutes. If you're getting service, take your car to Heishman's.

Default s.s.kid - where do you get your service done now?

I plan on chipping in addition to other mods - guess Heishmans isn't an option? I really want to find a service department that "takes care of you." I do not mind spending money on quality service - just give me the service that I expect.

Thanks for the heads-up on the loaner - just want I want when I drop my Audi off - a Ford Escort. Thanks.

Mike

Default Re: Heishman Audi - Alexandria VA (longish; pls. read)

Before I tell you what my experience with Heishmans has been, let me say that there are an extraordinary number of posts complaining about dealers, AoA, and Audi. I keep asking myself, is there ANY car worth the aggravation that so many people seem willing to endure so many problems with dealers and service? I'm right on the verge of answering that question "NO!" Not at the price of a 2001 A4 1.8.

I ordered mine 3/18. Original delivery date was 6/15, then 6/15-20, then 6/21-29, then 6/29-7/6. I'm not holding my breath. As of last week, the car was waiting to be assigned to a truck in Wilmington, DE. Heishmans has lost all credibility with me. I sent them loan application papers 3/20, and as of a few weeks ago their loan mgr. had done NOTHING with them. He told me "they slipped through the cracks." (I got a loan on my own.)

Friends tell me if I've waited this long, what's a little longer. I tell them that for a $27K expenditure, I expect better service. As much as I want this car, I tell myself that it's only a car and my experience even before becoming an owner has been nearly enough to drive me away from anything having to do with Audi, a company that many of you have said simply doesn't care about its customers.
elnorte

You can't blame Heishman's for you car being delayed. The car ships from Germany man There's no excuse for losing your financing paperwork... but if the car gets delayed in Germany there's nothing any dealer can do to fix it.
--
