Help, Car stutters on cold start and hunts for idle. Rattles too, dealer says bad EGR valve?

Why not block it off and get the claimed 5-15hp, lol!

It could be the gas you are using...
...I had it happen last year about this time. I switched fuel companies & it went away. Could be moisture build up in the tank after a cold winter or too high of an octane fuel (doesn't work well with low compression engines). Try the fuel first, worked for me.

Thanks for the info. I am running Union 76 instead of my usual Costoc 91.....
Though the 76 is usually a nice treat as it's true octane rating is, I am guessing a bit higher than Costco's 91. If the EGR doesn't fix things (under warranty) I'll give the gas a shot and maybe add some liquid heat moister killer stuff. Could it be a coil pack too?
