First of all let me wish you all a joyous Holiday Season!
Headed out at 4:30 am 10 Degrees outside and started car and took off rather quickly.. then I noticed that the check engine light came on and has stayed on ever since... no noticeable change in ride performance... no pinging no noises.. same ole same ole..

It is a 2000 Hibiscuss Red 1.8T Quattro Tiptronic...
What can trip the engine light..?

Will low transmission fluid do it?

Any help appreciated.. Any way to reset?

I can probably only get to dealer next week..
