I've got a radar detector that came with a wiring cable for attaching it to the fuse box. I've read the "how to" FAQ and still have a question:
How do I connect the power (with only a red and black wire) to the empty #27 rear wiper fuse slot?
I'm tired of the dangling wire going to my lighter. Any help would be appreciated.
Andy.

Well, the black ground wire should be attached to any easily accessible metal bolt that you can find...I believe there is one right above the fuse panel. As for the hot or red wire, I took the spade plug (the flat metal piece at the end of the V1's red wire), and just inserted it into the left side (as you're looking at the panel) of the #27 fuse slot (if you have a volt meter, check to make sure it's the hot side). It should stay in there with just friction, but I also used a little hot-melt glue to glue the wire to the edge of the panel so it couldn't wiggle free. That's it!
