I am using Zymol to wash the thing, and then drying with a chamoise and patting with terry cloth.
I have about one million water spots!!!! How do I avoid this?

With Dupont Carwash #7 powder you can wash the entire car in the sun and then with suds all over the car, it will rinse clean without leaving any residue.....Dry as usual with a dry towel or whatever.....

fluffy high grade bath towels. You can get the water blade at Walmart for about 20 bucks. Get most of the water off with the blade then finish off with the towels. That should do the trick.
PS- If you've got a leaf blower, they work great too!

My final rinse is without a nozzle on the hose. Take it off, and let the water cascade down gently, and the water will sheet off, leaving very little to blot up. This is assuming your car is waxed....
To remove the waterspots, I'd go over the car with 3M Imperial hand glaze, although I've found that #M Machine Glaze is a little better, because the cutting action is less.
