HELP: how to remove taillights??

Easy...
Remove the carpet-y cover on either side.
Use a socket wrench (I believe 8mm) to remove the 4 screws
Remove the lightbulb wiring harness
Push the 2 tabs inward (they are at the sides)
Push the light assembly out
Removing the painted strip at the bottom takes patience but is easy, too.

Inside the trunk behind the liner where the back of taillight assembly resides...
are four bolts, I think, that you need to unscrew after your removed the bulb assembly. The taillight assembly lifts right out.
