Default So you're saying I have a stock VW chip at the moment? Does the GIAC chip look different?

I know about the socketing option with GIAC. I was under the impression that the car had an aftermarket chip in it because on the stock K03 I'm peaking at 17psi & holding at 15psi and then slowly decreases as it runs out of breathe.

Default GIAC uses encoded chips, this means there will be a small chip on the bottom side

of the board, it will have a white socket with a black square clip that holds the chip down.

IIRC the 2001 VW GTI 1.8t came with 180 hp and should be running more boost then the A4's do. Best thing is to ask on vortex how much boost the GIAC chips run on the 2001 vw.
