I'm actually a big punk fan, only been to punk shows. I give U2 their respect, though. Kinda have to as a part Irishman myself. I've got a few of the older CD's (Joshua Tree, Achtung...) and I've been thinking of picking up the most recent one, but $50 for a concert is hard for me to do when the avg. punk show costs me $12!
I'm guess I'm a sideline fan or something.

but man was it worth every penny.
I have also spent my time at punk shows. The Vandals, Rancid, and Dropkick Murphys were some fun shows. The best were the Vandals...lots of fun stage presence.
And oh the quote? From the Princess Bride. INCONCEIVABLE!

"My name, is..." I love that character.
All those bands you listed do GREAT punk shows. Vandals are always very fun. Rancid is usually pretty intense, but hearing Matt play bass live is a great treat. I saw Dropkick Murphys two night in a row in April (ColoSpgs and Denver) and they put on fantastic shows both nights. I've lost track of how many times I've seen those guys. They're great because they always end up in fights. Last year a bunch of straight-edgers were talking trash in the audience, so Ken Casey said that he'd be happy to fight all of them in the parking lot after the show. They didn't come. Then this year someone in the audience took a swing at Al Barr (lead singer) and Ken Casey threw his guitar off and jumped into the audience and started going fist to fist with the guy. It was great. Lars Fredericksen has a side project called the Bastards and they played with the Dropkicks on tour this year. Lars played 2nd guitar for both shows with the Dropkicks because the 2nd guitar for them (the Dropkicks) broke his arm on St.Patty's day jumping out of a moving car.
God I love punk rock.
Final quote for the night?
"You're not really blonde, are you? More of a dirty blonde. I'm gonna call you Sabrina..." Hint: It's NOT a comedy.
I'm seriously going to bed. I'll check your answer in 5 minutes after I brush my teeth.
