Default Help me change my Dunlop SP9000 tires to all weather tires

I own a 1999 a4 1.8TQ with the sports suspension with Dunlop SP9000 tires (car has ~ 30,000 miles on it).

I would like to replace these tires with a more all weather type of tire.

Which tires should I get?

Also, does a tire warehouse have to have special equipment to change the tires on an Audi, or can any tire warehouse do it safely?

Default i just got Bridgestone Potenza RE950s and I like em

I was going to get contiextreme contacts.. but I paid a bit more and got these. Ride is very smooth and quiet, I just tried them on the snow and they grip very well compared to the SP8000s I had on till the other day. Worth the money for about 100 a pop at tirerack.

Picture are my 205-55-16 SP5000's
These tires got the job done in the snow.

The Yokohama Avid V4 is a nice compromise tire if you'r into all seasons. It's got good dry/wet performance and is better than most all seasons in the snow. It's also V-rated and affordable at under $100/tire.

The problem with all season tires is that they'll not be great at any one type of weather condition so your mission is to find a tire that's a good compromise.

Good luck.

Would it be safe to drive Dunlop SP9000 tires in snowy conditions (mid-atlantic region)?

Also, my current tires only have 30,000 miles on them. When do you normally change tires? Will the tire warehouse need special equipment for Audi rims?

Default Agreed on the SP5000

My wife has them on her Protege and they did just fine in last year's big snows here in DE.
