Help me decide... Should I straight swap my S4/RS4 bumper conversion for an OEM RS4 bumper?
Friend of mine is getting sick of dealing with his OEM RS4 bumper on his Silver S4... It's been modded by a local bodyshop that shall remain nameless that used a bit too much body filler when the were molding the sides to fit.
Bumper will need some TLC for cracks on the passenger side by the fender. Other than that it's a 8.5/10 structurally, 9.5/10 paint.
My S4/RS4 bumper conversion just got a facelift with my new thicker version mesh, thicker than the Andy Sprague/Home Depot stuff. Structurally it is a 9.5/10 and paint is a 9.5/10.
I've always wanted an RS4 bumper, but now with the custom A4 bumper the RS4 bumper would only be used in the winter and at the track. Should I do a direct trade and put some hours into make it structurally sound again, or keep going on my way. Final plan is to use the bumper as is for winter, and add a large swappable Alumalite tray underneath for the track.
Pictures to compare his and mine...
