help me name this sound.
i know a couple of control arms are bad but the sounds i am having are not the type that i have heard about from others with control arm problems. my sound comes once i hit around 45-60 mph. it is like a groaning sound that is more noticeable when the steering wheel is tilted to the right side while switching lanes or making a turn. my alignment is currently off but i cant get my alignment until i get these control arms done. do you guys think it is just the control arms or do i have some tie rods or steering rack problems? also, maybe tires need balancing and rotating? any help would be appreciated. car = 1999.5 1.8tqm. TIA.

thats what i thought too but i have had a bad wheel bearing before
and this doesn't sound like it. when i had the bad bearing, you can hear it going 5mph, and it just gets louder and louder. this sound only comes at about 40mph. maybe rear wheel bearings are different?
