Default Help me out with Engine ID Code please.

I am trying to figure out if the heads have been replaced in my 99.5 2.8. I located the "AHA" code on the cylinder head. The Bentley manual indicates that there should be a S/N right below this code. Well, mine doesn't have one. It just shows "AHA" so I am assuming if there is no serial number below the "AHA" then the heads must have been replaced. Do other 2.8 owners have a number under the "AHA" code? Or am I in the totally wrong spot looking for the engine serial number? The Bentley Manual say's "The engine code and serial number are located on the flat surface of the cylinder block in front of the right cylinder head." <-- This doesn't make sense to me because the "AHA" that I am looking at is on the hook part of the cylinder head where you would use a motore lift to puill the motor out. Is this the right location or am I completely off?

Default I'm not too sure if there is a serial #

None that I have seen anyway...of course I haven't looked too hard. Why not just ask for the service history of the car if you want to know. I'm not to sure why you would need to know any how as long as it is running correctly.
