I recently got two tickets within a twenty minute span. It sucked!! The first wasn't too bad, but the second policeman wouldn't stop screaming at me. I was on my way to school, across the state going 81 in a 60 with no traffic and was pulled over. I received a speeding ticket. Twenty minutes later I was pulled over again in a different county doing 70. I also was given a ticket from him. Here is my question, If both tickets have the exact same time written on them could this be terms for dismissal? Becasue it would have been impossible for me to be in two different county's at the same time.
Thanks:-)
Thanks:-)

I always get my tickets in pairs for some odd reason. The last time, I was eligible for traffic school, so I took traffic school for both at the same time (1 on blockbuster home video, the other online), and submitted the paperwork for both at once.
Appears to have worked, as neither ticket showed up on my record.

i think you're right. ANY mistake is grounds for dismissal. If your license # is wrong, the address, kind of car... Just send in the tix marked Not Guilty, and get a court date. If the officer that issued the citation does not show up, you've won already. Otherwise, one of the tix should definately be dismissed. BUT it will probably look pretty bad (say: repeat offender) that your evidence that the time is wrong is ANOTHER ticket. But when in doubt- plead not guilty and get a court date. Worst that can happen is you dont win. Oh well.

correspond to the atomic clock? I doubt the judge will quibble about 10 minutes here or there on the time written on the ticket. Judges are pretty reasonable people...they will ask a simple question..."At approximately that time on that day, were you there or not?". You answer yes, and it's all over.
A better strategy is in order, unless he likes leaving things to chance.

I dont doubt you have a valid point. This of course varies on a judge-by-judge basis- they're all different. I wouldnt take odds on his victory, but he has NO chance if he just pays the fines. There's always the chance of an officer not showing up, or the mitigation of fine/penalty because of the effort put forth by showing up, and believing in your case. I've had that happen, when i clearly had no case. I'm only saying it cant HURT him.
