My A4 periodically will just die when at idle. Doesn't seem to matter if it is warmed up or just started. Yes I checked the Air Filter etc, to see if anything was out of place.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most of the stalling problems like that are the Idle Stabilizer Valve (ISV). WHen it gets dirty your idle gets flaky. Often, this will also cause the idel to fluctuate quite a bit. I would have the dealer check it first, regardless. it can often be cleaned, but sometimes needs to be replaced. Good luck!

Thank you for the help. It does drop to about 200 RPM and then backup, doesn't always stall just periodically. Can someone point me to the IAC valve, and is this something that can be cleaned fairly effectively by a semi mechanical person?
Thanks again!
Cliff
